Maintenance & support
Kept running, long after go-live.
Systems need looking after and people need someone to ask. We maintain your servers on a regular schedule and run a helpline your staff can turn to when something stops working.
Server maintenance
Routine care for the machines everything depends on.
Most server failures give warning signs first. Regular maintenance means updates are applied, backups are proven to work, and small problems are dealt with before they become outages.
Covers physical servers, virtual machines and cloud-hosted servers.
- Patching and updates
- Operating system, firmware and application updates, scheduled outside working hours.
- Health monitoring
- Disk, memory, hardware and service checks, with alerts followed up.
- Backup verification
- Confirming backups complete, and test restores to prove the data can be recovered.
- Security housekeeping
- Reviewing accounts, permissions and protection software so nothing is left open.
- Capacity and lifecycle
- Early warning when storage is filling up, or hardware and warranties are nearing their end.
- Maintenance report
- A written summary of what was done, what was found and what we recommend next.
